 Product Description

LigoWave DLB 2-14 Wireless Unit

The DLB 2M-14 delivers the highest performance and stability available in the 2.4 GHz CPE class equipment for wireless network. This product combines a robust IP-66 compliant enclosure with a highly advanced 802.11n radio core containing MIMO 2x2 technology along with an integrated high-gain dual polarization directional antenna. The device is powered by a reliable, advanced, and feature-rich operating system, allowing the creation of very high throughput and stable wireless networks quickly, safely, and effectively. In addition, the DLB 2M-14 supports access point operating mode which extends application scenarios and makes the DLB 2M-14 suited for both point to point and point to multipoint wireless networks.

The robust software engine allows the DLB 2M-14 to work as bridge or as a router, provides a user-friendly Adobe Flex - based GUI with instant changes, includes useful installation tools (Site survey, Antenna alignment, Delayed reboot, Spectrum analyzer), and also is compatible with Wireless Network Management System for one of the most advanced management tools on the market.

Highly directional dual-polarized and high-gain antenna makes this device noise immune and suitable for high-density wireless deployments.

Usage recommendation

  • PTP mode (two DLB 2M-14 devices): 25 km/15.53 mi
  • PTMP mode (DLB 2M-14 as a client device): 10 km/6.21 mi
  • PTMP full capacity mode (DLB 2M-14 as a client device): 3 km/1.86 mi
  • Maximum throughput: 170 Mbps

iPoll

New PTMP protocol. LigoWave DLB series products have an option to use extremely efficient proprietary point-to-multipoint protocol called iPoll. It eliminates mediated access by polling every subscriber sequentially. The data transmission arbitration is accomplished by the access point. The AP sends data and a poll frame to a station and receives data from the polled station before starting to poll other stations. Each station starts sending data once a poll frame is received. Proprietary iPollTM protocol enables maximum bandwidth with the lowest possible latency.

Integrated spectrum analyzer

All LigoWave DLB series devices have an integrated spectrum analyzer. It is a real-time spectrum scanning tool, which provides a graphical signal representation and displays maximum, average, and current signal (noise) levels. This makes the installation of devices very easy and allows spectrum pre-scanning to avoid interference problems.

IP standards compliance

LigoWave DLB series equipment are tested against harsh weather conditions to perform well in extreme temperature conditions. Each of the products has an IP standards based rating.

Wall and pole mounting options

Wall and pole mouting options are available for each of the DLB series products and there is no need to buy any additional hardware to be able to mount the unit on the wall.

Small size and light packaging

All the products are very light and small in size to ensure low shipping costs for the end-users.

WNMS - Wireless Network Management System

WNMS is a FREE enterprise grade Wireless Network Management System. Single software solution simplifies a large number of management and monitoring tasks for network administrator. Comprehensive network management software supports up to several thousand of nodes. Multiple networks may be maintained and monitored using one server. Rich feature set helps to diagnose network problems effectively, visualize network on map, perform automatically scheduled firmware upgrades, track states of devices, get alerts about failures, collect statistics and many other things. Web-based system environment supports multi-user accounts. Several administrators may manage different networks on the same server, without having access to each other's equipment.

Main WNMS tasks:

  • Multiple OS support (Windows, Virtual Machine, Linux)
  • Network visualization on Google Maps
  • Configuration and maintenance
  • Monitoring and alerting
  • Smart discovery and provisioning
  • Statistical data collection and reporting
